Segmental block, boulder and stone retaining walls built to hold the grade for decades — compacted base, drainage stone backfill, geogrid where it's needed and a clean capped finish.
A retaining wall is a drainage structure first and a block wall second. Most failed walls we get called to replace in Barnegat, Manahawkin and Forked River were set on unprepared soil and backfilled with the same dirt that was dug out, so every rain loads the wall with water it can't shed. We excavate a proper trench, compact base stone, set the first course dead level, backfill with clean stone and filter fabric, run drain pipe to daylight, and add geogrid reinforcement on taller walls. It costs a little more the first time and it doesn't move afterward.

Our process
We look at how the slope moves water, what the wall has to hold back, and whether height triggers engineering or a township permit.
Trench below grade, remove soft soil, then place and compact base stone so the first course sits level and stays level.
Block set and locked course by course, clean stone backfill, filter fabric, drain pipe to daylight and geogrid where the load requires it.
Adhesive-set cap course, topsoil and seed or mulch behind the wall, and the site raked clean before we pull out.
Service area
We're based in the Barnegat area and build walls across Ocean County and the LBI corridor — roughly a 20-mile radius. If your town isn't listed, call; we probably still cover it.
