Paver patios & hardscape in New Jersey

Patios, walkways, steps, seating walls and fire pits built on a compacted base with edge restraint and polymeric joints — hardscape that still looks tight ten seasons from now.

Paver work is 80% what you never see

Anyone can lay a paver field that looks good the week it's finished. What separates a patio that stays flat from one that dips and spreads is the base under it: proper excavation depth, dense-graded stone placed in lifts and compacted, a screeded bedding layer, edge restraint spiked on every open perimeter, and pitch that moves water away from the house. We build ours like a driveway underneath and finish it like a patio on top — the same crew, machines and standards we use on gravel driveways and retaining walls across Barnegat, Manahawkin and LBI.

  • Paver patios, courtyards and pool surrounds
  • Front walkways, landings, stoops and block or bluestone steps
  • Seating walls, pillars, fire pits and outdoor kitchen pads
  • Paver driveway aprons and parking extensions
  • Repair and releveling of sunken or spreading paver fields
  • Grading, drainage and low-voltage landscape lighting built in

Our process

Four steps, no shortcuts

  1. 01

    Layout and paver selection

We lay the shape out on site, set elevations off your door and grade, and help you pick a paver and pattern that fits the house.

  2. 02

    Excavate and compact base

Dig to full depth, remove soft soil, then place and compact dense-graded base stone in lifts so nothing settles later.

  3. 03

    Screed, set and cut

Screeded bedding layer, pavers set to pattern with tight joints, clean saw cuts on borders, steps and curves.

  4. 04

    Restrain, sand and clean

Edge restraint spiked on every perimeter, polymeric sand swept and set, surface compacted, site washed and cleaned.

Paver patio questions we get every week

How much does a paver patio cost in New Jersey?
Patios are priced by square foot and depend on paver choice, how much excavation the area needs, steps, seating walls and lighting. We measure on site, talk through paver options and give you a written price before anything is ordered.
How long does a paver patio installation take?
Most residential patios in Ocean County run three to six working days from excavation to final joint sand, depending on size, steps and whether a seating wall or fire pit is part of the scope.
Why do paver patios sink or get weeds?
Sunken pavers are a base problem — not enough depth, or base stone that was never compacted in lifts. Weeds and ants come from open joints and missing edge restraint. We build a full compacted base, run edge restraint on every perimeter and finish with polymeric sand.
Do you install fire pits, seating walls and lighting?
Yes. Fire pits, seating walls, steps, pillars and low-voltage landscape lighting are all built into the same project so the base work and grading only get done once.
Will the patio drain away from my house?
Always. We set pitch away from the foundation, tie the grade into the surrounding lawn, and add drainage under or around the patio when the yard holds water.
